In memory. I am new to your journal but see the tag spina bifidia. A friend has the gene in her family and two children have been born with it. She took care of her grandson all during his childhood, and he later began to write the most touching poetry. Hi Jackie, I'll bet that no matter how sad the loss of Charlie was, there was a lot more joy in the life he shared with you. My heart ached for a moment when I saw those pictures, but then I realized that the love that was there is something you'll always have.
