Heat stroke, anyone?

The temp today is supposed to be 105. Who knows what the heat index will be. There have already been more than a few heat issues. And just how, exactly, does one dress for 105?  Not very well, let me assure you!!

(said in the most southern belle voice....)  As God is my witness, I will not bitch about winter ever again!!

This was not the calendar I voted for!!

I am glad I was nude when i read this.  I cannot imagine how you cope with 105 temps with high humidity.  We have reached 105 once or twice in my lifetime, but horrors.
I enjoyed reading about the first week back at work.  I have been through that, too, and it is sure nice to be retired.
I had a lot of fun as a teacher... but I sure remember the stress too.  All in all, you will look back on these days as the "good old days" eventually.
Hang in there.  Keep up the good work.  Finding "lessons" in unsuspected places is wonderful.  You take a commonplace objects and turn them into learning tools.  I once took common poker chips red, white, and blue, and invented the game "Fire, water, ice" and played for hours.  (Fire melts ice, Ice freezes water, water quenches fire..etc) they never noticed they were playing rock paper scissors with a different name.

It's actually nice for a change this week here in NY. The evenings are finally beginning to cool down so I can get a good nights sleep. All I can say is try to stay cool any which way you can hon. (Hugs) Indigo
