It's 100 degrees, so it must be time for school to start...

Yep, tomorrow for me and Thursday for the kids. Funny, the system is supposed to make a 5% cut across the board, but they insist on starting school when it's the hottest. Apparently, whoever the 'they' are have never been in a very small room with 31 hormonal teensjust back from PE with sweat glands that work better than normal during those 100 degree days! No wonder we are experiencing global warming!

PPEEEEEE-UUUUUUU

We are going to have many added attractions to the circus this year. We are guaranteed to please and piss off many this year, depending on the way the wind blows over the 3-ring tent during the main attraction. Come one, come all... it's sure to be a show!

Logic has never been a tool used by the educational system. Too bad the adminstrators can't spend a week in the classrooms and enjoy the smell of peenuts.

when i taught middle school i would give the kids extra credit for bringing in some form of air freshener.  i suppose you might have to restrict it to no aerosol cans so they dont try to huff the stuff. maybe a stick up under each desk?  we go back earlier then almost every school in my state (kids start aug 25, everyone else i know in MI goes back after labor day) and we report for unofficial duty the 11th, and staff development starts the 18th.  summer school just got out last thursday!

if it makes you feel better i have the 'circus theme song' running through my head most of the day these days between moving and trying to get all my school stuff ready for the new year.

oh and i am myspace friends with possum sparrows.  i didnt realize he was jimmy's cat until i stumbled across his blog during 'random blogs'.
